Alright, this one was TRICKY. We've had it all from pastas to pizza to canollis. So how were we gonna pull this thing off?
Well for starters, Faizah never follows the rules precisely, so she made a fusion meal combining Asian & Italian influence Tomato & Soy Chicken Thighs with Orzo Pasta were on the menu. Safa B won the prize for the night making a delicious White Spinach & Gorgonzola Pizza with Pine Nuts, just unbelievable! Safa S. made a hearty and savory White Bean & Italian Sausage Soup. Sharria raised the bar with her Grilled Shrimp & Fettuccine Alfredo. Pounds were gained that day.
Although the pizza appeared to be a crowd favorite, I COULD NOT get enough of Safa S's White Bean & Italian Sausage Soup. I LOVED it...actually took some to work for lunch on Monday:) I must also add that we braved a snow storm for this meeting but it was well worth it. The best part of the meeting was seeing our old friend Mam Marie, who I had not seen for YEARS. Mashaa Allah it was a great day.
